Welcome! We’re so glad you are here. We invite you to come worship with us. The United Church of Christ (Congregational) of San Luis Obispo is an Open & Affirming Church, which means we open our arms to people of any denomination, race, ability, gender and sexual orientation. Our credo:
“No Matter Who You Are, or Where You Are on Life’s Journey, You Are Welcome Here.”
We come together each Sunday to worship God and have Fellowship with our church family. Service begins at 10:30 a.m. and ends approximately at 11:30 a.m. (depends on what Rev. Curt has up his sleeve). Sunday School and Child Care is available.
During Lenten and the Christmas season, Rev. Curt treats the congregation to a first-person sermon, taking his theatrical training to become a character from the Bible and his role in the life journey of Jesus Christ.
After service, the church family meets in Fellowship Hall for coffee and snacks (usually yummy homebakedcookies, cheese and crackers and fruit) and good conversations. We recently created a lounging area (ala Starbucks) for Fellowship and Bible Study time. One of our sayings at the church is “We Feed You,” both spiritually and literally!
